With more than 8,000 additional app users already engaged, the next phase will expand the model to thousands more homes, helping to cut carbon emissions and lower household energy costs through an integrated approach that removes barriers to renewable adoption.

SMS is proud to announce that Metis by SMS has reached a key milestone: the completion of 200 solar PV and battery storage installations in partnership with Oxfordshire County Council.
The milestone installation, completed in Chipping Norton, represents a scalable, proven model for delivering affordable renewable energy at pace – and shows what is possible when local authorities, technology, and industry expertise work together.
Since the programme’s launch nine months ago, Metis has achieved:
